Winter formations.
Thank you to everyone who came down to the opening of my Ómur exhibition in London last week. It was an incredible experience to be there in person and share some of the stories behind the fifteen images on display. Tomorrow the 29th will be the final day of the exhibition held at the @theprintspace gallery in Shoreditch. Feel free to check it out if you’re in the area, it’s open 9am - 7pm!
Huge thanks again to my friends and legends @66north for their support on this project.
For those who can’t make it in person, check my story for a link to my print store where you can see the whole Ómur collection online ✌🏼
Methane bubbles trapped within a frozen lake.
My Ómur exhibition opens this evening at 7:30pm at the @theprintspace gallery in Shoreditch, London. Look forward to seeing everyone there tonight.
Stoked 🤙🏼
With just one day remaining until the opening of my exhibition, I’m super excited to finally reveal the full collection tomorrow evening.
Ómur is an Icelandic word defining a reverberated yet softly fading echo. The word describes the exhibited landscapes as they undergo constant transformation amidst the ever-changing seasons of the North. Many of the images in this collection are the last remaining echo of formations that have eroded, melted, transitioned and perished since the time of their documentation.
Ómur exhibtion will run at the @theprintspace gallery from August 23rd - 29th, supported by my friends at @66north.
Head to the link in my bio for all of the information ❄️
The highest peak in Iceland, 2110m.
Surrounded by the vast and often unpredictable glacial landscape of Öræfajökull, this area is often hidden in the clouds. Though occasionally the skies open up, revealing the ice covered summit from a ground level perspective.

Ómur Exhibition - London.
Hey guys! We’re fast approaching the opening of my upcoming photographic exhibition, held between August 23rd - 29th at @theprintspace gallery in Shoreditch. On display will be a collection of my winter imagery from the last three years of exploring in Greenland and Iceland.
I’ll be flying over for the opening evening, starting on the 23rd at 7:30pm. If you’re in London at the time you’re more than welcome to come down and say hello! As numbers are limited for the opening, please remember to reserve a place ahead of time via the link in my bio.
Cheers and really looking forward to this 🤙🏼
Blue hour mist over one of my favourite mountains in the East.
The further you look into an image like this the more signs of life you can find. Hundreds of birds line the peaks, flying in and out of the clouds as they look for an edge to land on.

Ómur - Photographs from the frozen North.
Proud to announce my upcoming exhibition at the @theprintspace gallery in London, held between August 23rd - 29th.
The collection features fifteen of my original works from the last three years of exploring in the Arctic and Sub-Arctic.
I’ll be in London for the opening night event on the 23rd, starting at 7:30pm. If you’re in town it would be amazing to see you there.
Honoured to have support for this exhibition by the legends @66north, who have always kept me well equipped amidst some of the coldest and harshest environments here in the North.

Evening light over our local glacial river, tracking high above a pack of birds as they search for a black volcanic sandbank to land on for the night. Watching these streams change each day is an eye opening experience. The colours, volume and form of the river reflect changes in both the glacier and weather conditions hundreds of kilometres away in the highlands, where the silt filled water originates.

A Greenland sled dog basking in the brightness of the late winter sun. Being almost completely dark around the solstice period, clear weather provides a much needed, though very short dose of Arctic light each day.
Along the shoreline.
These fragile icebergs drift from the calving front all the way out to the ocean, getting pushed back and forth as the North Atlantic weather continually hits the coastline. Sometimes you can wake up to see that majority of the ice has been pushed way back into the lagoon, and other days the entire field of ice can be crushed together at the ocean mouth. Everything here is in a constant state of change, with every minute providing a unique visual moment into the last days of the icebergs before they completely melt away.
To capture the intricate details of this piece of ice, I shot this image using the high-resolution mode of the @olympuskameras OM-D E-M1 Mark II + the M.Zuiko 40-150mm F2.8 Pro.

Stone by Stone.
Honoured to have been involved in the creation of a music video for one of my dearest friends @arnordan and his first solo single titled Stone by Stone, released today worldwide.
I originally stumbled upon this incredible volcanic crater around one year ago. After shooting this aerial image, I was left in total awe of its vast scale, and upon analysing the scene with my girlfriend @brokensundowns who was the Art Director for this piece, we decided that the crater itself would be the perfect backdrop for the film.

Just returned from five days offline in a remote region of Iceland, and now back to regular programming!
On a calm and rainy afternoon at the lagoon last month, our @olympuskameras team waited for the local resident seals to swim around a huge piece of ice that was stuck near the shoreline. This particular seal happened to swim right in front of the ice, popping up for a few seconds before disappearing into the icy waters.

A questionable act in the valley of Þór.
Looked back through my archives today and came across this image of an Arctic Fox duo from a couple of years ago, captured while stuck in Þórsmörk for four days after a huge flood. I spent my time photographing a group of five foxes that roamed the area back then. This image is definitely the most memorable, though I’ll leave you guys to set the scene.
Emerging from the mist, the birds take flight.
Last week I joined forces with @olympuskameras for an expedition into the central highlands here in Iceland. I’ll be taking over their page in the coming days, sharing some insights from our travels and a few images that I captured along the way. Feel free to head over to their page and follow along 🤙🏼

Implode.
After crossing over an hour long section of flat lava rock in the remote central highlands, suddenly you arrive at the edge of this massive subsidence crater. Considered the largest of its kind in Iceland, it’s said to have formed just 120 years ago. On this day we experienced heavy rain for the entire day, adding a nice cloudy haze over the crater.
A mountain of ice, towering over the landscape of West Greenland.
Revealed through the clouds.
A few years ago this rock arch caught my eye, sitting way up on a mountain top beside an outlet glacier. Most often it is hidden in rain clouds, other times lost in the bright sun, but occasionally I have noticed it standing out in the mist as it flowed down over the mountain’s contours.
A few weeks ago the conditions lined up, allowing me to capture the arch contrasted against a white background, it was an incredible moment to witness and one I’ll always remember 🤙🏼
Sitting amongst thousands of icebergs in the Qoroq fjord, South Greenland.
You can really get a sense of the scale once you find our red rib boat in this image. There was so much ice in the fjord that we couldn’t make it to the Qoroq glacier, our intended target for the day. This glacier has shown signs of rapid retreat in recent years.
Puffins in flight over the dark volcanic sand coastline.
